Nutella Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Servings 12 cookies

Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°C.

  2. Heat butter in a large microwavable bowl until just melted. Add white and brown sugar and mix until creamy.

  3. Lightly incorporate egg and and vanilla (don't over mix here as it will result in hard cookies).

  4. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until crumbly and fold in chocolate chips.

  5. Roll the dough into 12 balls and flatten the dough to cover the palm of your hand. Place a teaspoon or less (a little goes a long way after baked) of Nutella in the centre and close the edges all around tightly. Shape it back into a ball and place it on the cookie sheet.

  6. Bake for 7-9 minutes. Note: They may look and feel undercooked but they will harden quickly after a few minutes of cooling!
